Common Questions
How often should trees be trimmed in South Florida?
Most shade trees do well with trimming every one to two years, and palms typically need attention once or twice a year as fronds and seed pods accumulate. Fast growth and storm season on the Treasure Coast make regular trimming cheaper than emergency work.
Will trimming hurt my tree?
Done correctly, no. We remove dead, crossing, and excess growth with proper cuts that the tree can seal, and we never top a tree. Topping weakens structure and creates fast, fragile regrowth, so we will recommend a different approach if it is suggested.
Can you trim trees hanging over my roof?
Yes. Overhang clearance is one of the most common reasons customers call. We cut limbs back from roofs, screens, and pool cages, which reduces storm damage risk, leaf debris in gutters, and the pathways pests use to reach the roof.
Do you trim palm trees?
Yes. Palm trimming covers dead fronds, seed pods, and loose boots, done without spiking a palm that is staying in place, because spike holes permanently scar the trunk and can invite disease.
